An Invitation to Pray for our Camping Ministries this Summer
The staff and volunteers at our United Methodist Camps covet your prayers for their work this summer, as thousands of children, youth, families, and persons with special needs pass through our gates. Many of our churches include our church leaders and global mission sites in their corporate prayers each Sunday. Throughout this summer, we invite you to consider praying for the camping ministry as well. These prayers may be for the director, the staff, the volunteers, and for the campers attending each week. We particularly ask for prayers for lives to be changed, disciples to be made, new leaders for the church to arise from our summer staff and volunteers, for safety at camp, for families and churches as they travel to and from camp, and for our world to be transformed by this good work. If you would like to lift up a particular site and its director, they are:
- Bay Shore Camp – Jeff Parsons
- Camp Kinawind – Fred Elmore
- Camp Michigamme – Jim Daly
- Judson Collins Center – Sarah Ratz
- Lake Huron Retreat Center – Rev. Ann Emerson
- Lake Louise Camp – Rev. David Gladstone (beginning July 1)
- Myers Lake Campground – Jon Lawrence
